Shreveport, Louisiana experienced a surge in violence over the July 4th weekend, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries across three separate shooting incidents. The troubling events have heightened concerns over public safety in the area.

Emergency crews responded around 2:20 p.m. on July 4 to reports of a shooting on Interstate 20 near the I-220 ramp.
