BPCC Announces Preferred Partner Agreement with Local Law Enforcement
Higher education in Bossier City is partnering with local law enforcement to enhance the quality of education and training provided to law enforcement professionals. Monday morning Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) announced a partnership with Bossier Sheriff’s Office and the Bossier City Police Department. This partnership formalizes is an alliance with BPCC as the preferred training partner for law enforcement personnel in Bossier Parish.
Community Support
“We happen to have community in our name,” said Dr. Rick Bateman, Jr., Chancellor of BPCC. “We all exist to support this community. And what BPCC wants to do this with these preferred training partner agreements is to ensure that we are doing everything that we can for our law enforcement professionals in our community.”
Education and Training
Under this partnership, BPCC is agreeing to provide training leading to associate degrees, diplomas, certificates and industry-based credentials to Bossier police and sheriff personnel. “Education is the key and we are proud to be a part of your team,” said Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington.
Comprehensive Training Modules
According to BPCC, this partnership will leverage its state-of-the-art facilities, faculty, and innovative curriculum to deliver comprehensive training modules. BPCC will offer up to 15 credit hours in its Criminal Justice program when graduates of the academy complete the P.O.S.T. certification.

“It’s great to be in Bossier City right now,” said Bossier City Mayor Tommy Chandler.
