Bossier City Hall Undergoing Renovations

The city hall of Bossier City, Louisiana, is in the midst of a crucial renovation project, announced a city official on Thursday.

Securing Safety With Renovations

The primary focus of these renovations is making the building safer for its employees, citizens, and visitors. As part of the safety measures, a single entry point to the building will be established where visitors will be required to undergo scanning for weapons. City Marshals have been assigned the responsibility of enforcing and providing oversight regarding this new safety protocol.

“In the current climate, we have to be continuously aware and vigilant regarding domestic threats and dangers to our community,” stated city spokesman Louis Johnson.

While these renovations are in progress, visitors will be able to access the building only from the Beckett Street side.

Completion Dates and Project Goals

The project is projected to reach completion before the year-end, as addressed by Johnson. He also emphasized that the primary cause for these renovations is the safety and well-being of the city’s residents.

Mayor Thomas Chandler extended his apologies for the inconvenience caused due to the construction process but assured the citizens that the intention behind these renovations is their safety.

“The Mayor trusts that the safety of our citizens is worth any temporary disruptions that may be caused by the construction,” explained the official news release.
