However, the situation took another turn when one of these pumps malfunctioned Monday due to a faulty starter motor. Fortunately, Barfield noted, “The city has been very helpful in responding. After we called them, they were out here within 30 minutes to fix the pump.” Their response time has given residents some hope in an otherwise distressing situation.

In an effort to ease the worries of Willow Point residents, the city sent Environmental Services Manager Wes Wyche to a recent HOA meeting. During his visit, he assured residents that he would communicate with city officials to address the ongoing sewage dilemma. Although there’s no specified timeline for resolution, residents were reassured of the city’s commitment to work alongside the HOA to ensure that sewage lines in Willow Point receive proper maintenance.
