Shreveport, Louisiana, was buzzing with excitement as the annual Taco Wars event took place at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium on April 27. This year’s Taco Wars broke all previous records, generating over $128,000 in revenue for the local taquerias. The event, organized by the Prize Foundation, showcased the culinary talents of fourteen taquerias from the region, all vying for the coveted titles of Best Taco and Best Salsa.

After much deliberation, Taqueria San Miguel emerged victorious, taking home the title of Best Taco along with a $1,000 cash prize. Ramirez Mexican Restaurant won over the attendees and judges alike with their flavorful salsa, earning them the Golden Molcajete title and a $500 cash prize.
