Crawfish Tyme Planning to Reopen for Business This Season Amid Challenges
Shreveport, La. – Crawfish outlets across ArkLaTex have been hit by the impacts of a problematic crawfish season, including the well-liked Crawfish Tyme in Shreveport, which is currently awaiting a confirmed reopening date.
Customers Eager for Reopening
Though open during the past weekend, Crawfish Tyme has not announced a firm date for its seasonal reopening. The crawfish season has been particularly tricky this year, claiming the restaurant manager, Joseph Schwalke. “Typically, we’d be open around December. However, owing to the drought and other challenging conditions, our opening this season was delayed,” Schwalke stressed.
Unexpected Obstacles Loom
The Shreveport Water Department reported issues related to the restaurant’s water. The Director of Water and Sewerage, William Daniel, stated, “Following a routine inspection of their water source we discovered their water was unauthorised. In addition, we found they did not possess a necessary occupancy license or health permit.”
Daniel added, “We have since informed them that water access from their neighbouring property must be discontinued immediately.”
Business Ready to Resume
The water department updated later that Crawfish Tyme now has its water supply restored, with an officially installed water meter. Responding to these updates, Schwalke said, “While I can’t comment on the specific issues, I can confirm that we have a working water meter and running water. We’re set to go.”
