The patterns of violence continue with the tragic death of 40-year-old Corinthian Shepard, who was shot in her home on July 5, 2025. Officers were called to the scene around 7 a.m., where they found a man outside the residence with a gunshot wound to the head; he is currently in stable condition. Unfortunately, Shepard was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:09 a.m. in what has been classified as the 19th homicide in Shreveport in 2025. In connection with her murder, Richard Williams has been arrested and charged with second-degree homicide.
